U.S. Rep. Steve Kiron, R-Kiron, faces four opponents for his party’s nomination in the Fourth Congressional District.

State representatives Ann Meyer, R-Fort Dodge, and Mike Sexton, R-Rockwell City, meanwhile, face no opposition at all. They have no opponents for their party’s nomination and no Democrats have entered those races.

Candidates for Congress and the state legislature had to submit their nominating petitions to Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate Friday in order to get on the ballot.
