A Coralville man has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting at Security State Bank in Lu Verne on Wednesday morning.

Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a possible shooting at the Lu Verne bank around 8:40 a.m.

Valentino Williams, 35, was apprehended by law enforcement during a traffic stop on Interstate 35 near mile marker 158 in Franklin County AT 9:38 a.m., according to court documents released by the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office.

Williams has been charged with murder in the first degree and robbery in the first degree in Kossuth County District Court. He is being held in the Kossuth County Jail pending his initial appearance.
