What grade/subject do you teach at St. Edmond?

I teach fourth-grade language arts, math, religion and social studies.

What is your favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part of the day is our morning meeting time. It is a chance for me to build community and relationships within the classroom. It is also a time when we pray together for special needs that the kids might be facing.

What are you working hardest on right now?

I am working hardest on getting to know my new students. I love finding their strengths and utilizing them to help build up their self-esteem.

What are you most proud of as a teacher?

I am proud to be a teacher because I get to help raise kids of good character. In our class, we are constantly working on becoming the best versions of ourselves by making good choices.

What makes you happiest as a teacher?

Making kids smile and seeing kids being successful is what makes me the happiest. I also enjoy seeing the successes of my former students as they grow up! I’m so proud of all of their accomplishments.

How do you contribute to/how are you involved in our community outside of school?

Outside of school, I volunteer for Holy Trinity Parish. I also help coach with the Rec, and my husband and I try to attend many fundraisers that benefit our community.

What are your interests/hobbies outside of school?

I am a busy mom of three, so I am usually at a sporting event cheering them on. I also love reading and spending time with my family.

What do you wish your students/families knew about you?

I hope my students and families know that I believe in them! They are all a gift from God and I am blessed to work with them. I know they can all be successful.

What does SEe US Grow mean to you?

At St. Edmond, I feel like we are an environment where kids can grow in faith, character and knowledge. I know I continue to grow each year at this school too!
