Community and Family Resources will be celebrating National Recovery Month during its seventh annual Recovery and Wellness Family Fun Festival on Saturday.

The festival, which is free and open to the public, will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the CFR’s new campus at 211 Ave. M West.

Officers from the Fort Dodge Police Department will be on-site to talk about bicycle safety. The Fort Dodge Fire Department, as well as the Iowa National Guard will also be part of the festivities.

The festival will feature a host of family-friendly activities like gourd painting, yoga, games and spin-art. There will be drawings for door prizes donated by local sponsors, which include four bicycles with helmets.

CFR offers treatment and prevention services for substance abuse, mental health and problem gambling to residents in nine north central Iowa counties.
