Truck hit with bullets on south side of Fort Dodge

When Fort Dodge police arrived near the intersection of Sixth Avenue South and South 14th Street Sunday night, they found a red Ford pickup truck that was struck with at least three bullets, including one that cracked the windshield and another that popped a tire, according to Sgt. Zach Stanley, of the Fort Dodge Police Department.

Police were called to the scene after reports of shots fired sometime around 8 p.m.

No one was hit by the bullets, but one male was treated on scene for cuts from shattered glass, Stanley reported.

No one was transported to the hospital.

“It’s extremely lucky that someone wasn’t hurt or killed,” Stanley said.

Fort Dodge police continued their investigation Sunday night.

The Fort Dodge Police Department and Fort Dodge Fire Department were on scene.
