A white pickup truck ended up in the Des Moines River not far from the Kenyon Road Bridge Thursday night after the driver apparently decided to intentionally drive the vehicle into the water, according to Lt. Dennis Quinn, of the Fort Dodge Police Department. Quinn said it appeared the driver, who was not identified Thursday night, drove at a pretty fast speed before bailing out of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources was contacted. The Fort Dodge Police Department and Fort Dodge Fire Department were on scene.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to the Webster County Law Enforcement Center. The truck remained partway submerged as of about 9:30 p.m.
