FORT DODGE — Karl L. King Municipal Band Concert is 7:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. There is no admission charge, courtesy of the city of Fort Dodge. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will be selling homemade ice cream and fresh-baked cake at 6:30 p.m. People attending are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. No seating is provided.

FORT DODGE — Lunch on the Square is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY at City Square Park, Central Avenue. The menu is pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, chips, dessert and water for $6. WEBSTER CITY — The Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will present the movie “Muppets from Space” from 10:30 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the library.

VINCENT — The 62nd annual Vincent Fireman’s Ball and Fundraiser is TODAY at the Vincent Community Hall. The pork loin dinner will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. There will be an auction, raffle and street dance following the dinner. Tickets are $15 per person with children 10 years old and younger being $5. Money raised goes toward fire equipment and community causes.

RUTHVEN — Palo Alto County Conservation is hosting a Kayak Sunrise Float at 6 a.m. SATURDAY at the Lost Island Nature Center, Ruthven. Bring your own kayak or borrow one from Conservation. Kayaks are limited. The event is for ages 10 and up.
