FDPD finds vehicle riddled with bullet holes
No one injured
Fort Dodge Police officers investigating after they heard gunshots in downtown Fort Dodge early Saturday morning found that an occupied vehicle had been struck several times.
The incident happened in the 10 block of North Seventh Street around 1:52 a.m.
According to Public Information Officer Cpt. Ryan Gruenberg, officers determined that several shots had been fired by a male subject striking the vehicle. He said it’s believed there was some sort of interaction before the shots were fired.
None of the occupants or bystanders were injured.
According to Gruenberg, witness information indicated that the male had left the area immediately after the shots were fire.
He said the department is continuing their investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made. The department is asking anyone with information to come forward.
