2 males injured in altercation

Fort Dodge police are investigating after two males suffered lacerations during some sort of an altercation Friday night, according to Lt. Dennis Quinn, of the Fort Dodge Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at 9:42 p.m. to 203 Ave. E. for a reported altercation involving a machete, Quinn said.

Upon arrival, officers found two males who were injured.

One suffered a laceration to his arm and was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Quinn said the injury was non-life-threatening.

The other male suffered a cut to his face. That male was not transported.

Names and ages of those involved were not immediately released.

As of Friday night, no charges were filed.

The Fort Dodge Fire Department and Webster County sheriff’s deputies also responded.

The Fort Dodge Police Department continues to investigate.
