Multiple houses raided Thursday

Multiple houses were raided Thursday by Webster County law enforcement, leading to the seizure of drugs, a firearm, and large sums of U.S. currency, according to a press release from the Webster County Drug Task Force.

According to the report, because of the number of people involved in the investigation, further consulting is required before arrests are made.

Officials said numerous arrests will be made in the future as it pertains to this investigation.

Search warrants were obtained for the following residences in the Fort Dodge area: 634 N 23rd St., 917 11th St. SW, 523 N 11th St., and 1422 Fifth Ave. S.

Officers with the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Fort Dodge Police Department, Special Emergency Response Team, and members of the Iowa State Patrol, were involved in the raids.

The warrants were obtained as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation conducted by the Webster County Drug Task Force.

The Task Force was assisted in the investigation by members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Iowa Division of Narcotic Enforcement, North Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department, Mason City Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, and Fort Dodge Fire Department.

The Task Force is made up of members of the Fort Dodge Police Department, Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Webster County attorney’s office.
