Annual Dayton Expo is this weekend

DAYTON — The annual Dayton Community Club hosted Dayton Expo is scheduled for Saturday at the Dayton Community Center.

The doors open at 9 a.m. and the event goes until 2 p.m.

Community Club member Kevin Diehl, of Dayton, said that visitors can expect to see about 35 vendors at this year’s show.

“We’ve had a lot of new people that will be showing that have never been here before,” Diehl said.

The show features Dayton businesses, organizations and event committees as well as those from the surrounding area. There is also a lunch being served starting at noon.

It’s sponsored by the Gowrie POET Ethanol Plant.

“The Webster County Pork Producers will be making the burgers,” Diehl said.

The Community Club asks for a free will donation from those eating and attending.

“Our whole purpose is to give back to help the Community Center,” he said.

The Dayton Community Center is located one block north of the Dayton Post Office.

Diehl is hoping visitors will enjoy their day and find Dayton’s offerings to their liking.

“Come see what Dayton and the area have to offer,” he said.
