Icy road conditions led to a fiery fatal accident on a county road just outside of Fort Dodge Saturday evening.

Shelia Ross, 54, of Fort Dodge, was killed in the accident, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

Two others, Laurie Mullen, 56, and Paul Ross, 63, also of Fort Dodge, were injured.

According to the Iowa State Patrol’s accident report, Paul Ross was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty southbound on Webster County Road P59 when he crossed the center line because of icy road conditions.

The Jeep struck Mullen’s 2006 Nissan Murano, which was northbound on the same road.

The crash happened around 5:10 p.m. Saturday.
