An overturned car sits off road on Baxter Avenue, just south of 390th Street near the borders of Webster and Calhoun counties Monday. Deputy Derek Christie, of the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, said the Buick was behind a New Cooperative semi truck as both were northbound on Baxter Avenue. Christie said the car rear-ended the truck. The truck driver told Christie that he felt a jolt and saw the car go off-road in his rearview mirror. The car’s driver declined transport to the hospital. The truck driver was not hurt. Christie did not have names of those involved. Calhoun County EMS and firefighters from Farnhamville also responded to the scene.
