Former FDSH paraeducator accused of sexual exploitation
Johnson is accused of September 2017 incident
A former paraeducator at Fort Dodge Senior High is charged with sexually exploiting a student in an incident that happened last fall.
Denico L. Johnson, 22, of Fort Dodge, is charged with one count of sexual exploitation by a school employee, a Class D felony.
According to the criminal complaint filed with the Webster County attorney’s office, Johnson allegedly committed a sexual act upon a female student in September 2017.
No further information was revealed in the complaint.
Brad McIntyre, assistant Webster County attorney, said Johnson had been a paraeducator at FDSH, but he is no longer employed there.
Johnson made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Monday morning.
Magistrate William Thatcher ordered Johnson held on $5,000 cash-only bond, and also issued a no-contact order between Johnson and the juvenile victim in this case.
Johnson’s preliminary hearing is March 14.
