Sunday’s Bridal Spectacular promises ideas worth having
Help is on the way for area brides and grooms sweating out the details of planning their big day.
The 2017 Younkers Bridal Spectacular presented by The Messenger will bring together in one place Sunday afternoon dozens of businesses that offer wedding products and services.
Regina Suhrbier, the multimedia sales manager for The Messenger, described the event as “really the best place” for brides and grooms to check out what area businesses have to offer for weddings.
The Bridal Spectacular will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Career Education Building at Iowa Central Community College.
A wedding fashion show will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Brides and grooms pay a $5 admission fee. But paying that admission fee makes them eligible for the many prizes to be handed out at the event, according to Suhrbier.
“There’s tons of door prizes,” she said.
The top prizes are a $500 gift card from Younkers and a $200 gift card from Wild Rose Emmetsburg.
Suhrbier said every vendor will be giving away a door prize.
While the brides and grooms have to pay the $5 admission fee, anyone else who comes with them will get in for free.
The participating vendors include DJs, caterers, photographers, jewelers, banquet halls, florists, bakers, limousine services and stores that sell wedding dresses and rent tuxedos.
“We really do have all sides of it covered,” Suhrbier said.
The event, she said, will be an “idea factory” for brides and grooms.
This is the ninth year for the Bridal Spectacular.
