A major fire was reported at the property of Fort Dodge Asphalt Co. Thursday evening.

Preliminary reports from firefighters at the scene indicated that the building was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed. At least one explosion occurred.

The building is on Parker Drive west of Fort Dodge.

The Barnum and Fort Dodge fire departments were on scene.
