Four houses in the 300 block of First Avenue South were to be demolished to make way for a new community corrections center. Construction of the long-awaited project was expected to begin in the spring of 2007. The center would house the Fort Dodge probation and parole offices as well as the Fort Dodge Residential Correctional Facility and space for treatment services.
