Kendal Miller was enjoying looking at books and having books read to her. She had surprised her parents, Kyle Miller and Jamie Hill, by pointing to a baby duck and saying “a duck” when the family was reading all about baby animals. Kendal was the poster baby for the 2005 March of Dimes WalkAmerica at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. She and her parents, Jamie Hill and Kyle Miller, were planning to participate in the fundraising walkathon.
