SPORTS: The track at Dodger Stadium was officially named J.H. Nitzke Track in honor of the Fort Dodge Senior High track coach.

50 Years ago: May 7, 1969

NEWS: Franklin E. Pruismann, son of Emma R. Pruismann, of Webster City, was promoted to sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

SPORTS: Fort Dodge’s tennis team beat Storm Lake 11-5.
