On Feb. 2, members of the Fort Dodge Senior High speech team attended the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Speech Contest. They performed the 11 acts that qualified for State through the district competition last month. Five of the acts received Division I ratings with one of them selected for All State and six groups received Division II ratings.

“I am so proud of all our students who performed,” Lindey Krug, speech coach, said. “The team had a great day at State. We are thrilled to have the Readers Theater group selected for All State. It is such an honor for the kids to be chosen and will be an experience they will never forget.”

The All State Speech Festival takes place Feb. 16 at Iowa State University.
