FDSH students to perform in Des Moines

Students from the Fort Dodge Senior High School theater department will perform an excerpt from the April production of “The Pajama Game” and participate in a collaborative inter-school medley, led by guest Broadway music director, Adam Jones, and choreographer, Sara Brians, at the 2017 Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Showcase.

Presented by Des Moines Performing Arts, the Showcase will be held at the Des Moines Civic Center June 5 at 7 p.m..

The Showcase will recognize 60 schools from across the state.

Fort Dodge Senior High School will be recognized with the following awards and honors:

•Outstanding Musical Production.

•Outstanding Ensemble.

•Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role — Eli Asay as “Prez.”

•Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role — Collin Ellsbury as “Sid Sorokin.”

•Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role — Hannah Amhof as “Mabel.”

•Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role — Karisa Meier as “Gladys.”

•Special Recognition for Performance in a Principal Role — Olyvia Selby as “Babe Williams.”
