ALGONA — Bishop Garrigan High School was host to the 1A Solo/Ensemble Contest held on April 8. All students were awarded either a Division I /Superior rating or Division II/Excellent rating. The results are as follows:

Vocal soloists receiving a Division I rating were: Levi Capesius, Isabelle Davis and Samuel Trainer.

Instrumental soloists receiving a Division II rating were: Jordan Hansen/clarinet; Josh Hamilton/alto saxophone; Sam Trainer/alto saxophone.

Instrumental ensembles receiving a Division I rating were: Saxophone Quartet — Ryan Kenyon, McKenzie Meister, Sam Trainer, Caitlin Thilges; Percussion Choir — Isabelle Davis, Emma Thul, Amanda Miller, Andrew Meister, Gigi Byrkeland, Jordan Hansen, Gabe Trainer, Colby Graves.
