FDSH speech team successful at State
Four students selected for All-State Festival
Fort Dodge Senior High’s speech team had a successful showing at the Individual State Speech Contest, qualifying four performances for the All State Speech Festival at the University of Northern Iowa today.
Rafi Lim, senior, was selected in Acting. Annie Laird, senior, was selected in Prose. Cate Hatton, senior, was selected in Expository Address and Chloe Vinchattle, sophomore, was selected in Public Address. They will join approximately 400 students from throughout Iowa at the All State Festival.
The FDSH speech team qualified 28 performances for state competition. Twenty-two of these performances received Division I ratings and six received Division II ratings.

“The hard work and time our students put into preparing for State was definitely rewarded with the results our kids achieved,” said Lindey Krug, FDSH speech coach. “I’m very proud of all our kids. And we’re all so excited for Rafi, Annie, Cate and Chloe on their selection to All State. It’s a wonderful honor for them and a great way to end the speech season.”
