Fort Dodge native named city manager in Texas
Eric Ellwanger, a Fort Dodge native, was recently named city manager of Allen, Texas.
His appointment was approved June 11.
Ellwanger was hired as assistant to city manager in 2012 before being promoted assistant city manager in 2014.
He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Houston.
Ellwanger is the son of Jim Ellwanger, former St. Edmond Catholic School baseball coach and teacher, and Gloria Ellwanger, a former teacher at Corpus Christi Elementary School.
