Intern Breakfast to be held in Algona

ALGONA — The Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation will provide interns a networking opportunity during their 20th Annual Intern Breakfast.

The breakfast will be held May 22 at 7:30 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Algona.

The Intern Breakfast allows interns a chance to become acquainted with each other and provide an opportunity to network with CEOs and company managers.

Informational packets will be provided to help the interns become acclimated with the area.

The keynote speaker will be Todd Coleman, assistant vice president for admissions at Wartburg College. Todd will speak on the power of networking and how an internship experience can help shape the rest of one’s life if they take advantage of the opportunity.

Maureen Elbert, executive director of K/PACEDC, said “The program encourages young adults to settle and bring new businesses to the area. This program also gives them true skill building training sessions that will hopefully enhance their ability to obtain a good job and make them a committed and productive employee and community leader. We have worked hard on lining up quality keynote speakers and events that all will enjoy in participating and are looking forward to this year’s 20-year anniversary program.”
