Citizens Community Credit Union recently announced E.J. Donaghey as its new president and CEO.

Donaghey has more than 30 years of experience working in the credit union industry at the retail, state, national and international levels.

For the past decade, Donaghey served as president and CEO of the University of Illinois Community Credit Union in Champaign, Illinois.

Prior to his role there, he held executive management positions at Great Lakes Credit Union and Baxter Credit Union, both in Illinois, and CommunityAmerica Credit Union in Kansas.

“I am excited to bring my experience and passion for credit unions to build upon Citizens Community Credit Union’s success,” Donaghey said.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business and Spanish from Elmhurst College, an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and the designation of certified league executive from the Credit Union National Association.
