FD Area Easter egg hunts and candy dash schedules

The Fort Dodge Moose Lodge annual Easter egg hunt will be April 15 with registration from 10:45 a.m. to noon. The hunt will begin at 12:15 p.m. The cost will be 50 cents per chilld, and children must be present to register.

There will be four age groups: 18 months through 3 years old; prekindergarten through kindergarten; first and second grade; and third and fourth grade. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event. Rain date is April 22. For more information, contact Bob Breffl at 571-6372.

Callender: 1 p.m., April 15, Callender Community Center.

Clarion: Easter bunny will arrive and be available for pictures at 8 a.m. on April 15 at the shelter house of the Clarion Aquatic Center Park; a drawing will be held at 9 a.m. with an egg hunt including five age groups beginning at 9:30 a.m.; event will move the the Clarion High School if bad weather occurs.

Dayton: 10 a.m., April 15 at the north end of Caldwell Park.

Eagle Grove: 2:30 p.m., April 15 at Greenwood Park.

Farnhamville: 11 a.m., April 15 at the city park.

Gilmore City: 10 a.m., Gilmore City-Bradgate Elementary School playground; area 4-H members will have a petting zoo.

Gowrie: 1 p.m., April 15 at Laurel City Park; event will move to the fire station building if bad weather occurs.

Lake City: Opportunity Living will host its annual Egg … Stravaganza, a Donor and Volunteer Appreciation Event at Opportunity Acres on April 15 beginning with an omelet/egg breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m.; Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. for children up to age 10; photos with the Easter Bunny from 9 to 11 a.m.; silent auction with final bids by 11 a.m., winners announced at 11:15 a.m.

Lake View: Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, McCrary Rost Clinic and Community Pharmacy Lake View will host a family Easter fun event on April 15 at Speaker Park Shelter House in Lake View, immediately following the Blackhawk Men’s Club Easter Egg Hunt which starts at 9:30 a.m. Many activities are planned for families attending including games, crafts and temporary tattoos. Free snacks will also be available, and an Easter prize drawing will be held.

Lehigh: Noon, April 15 at the Lehigh ball park.

Livermore: 10:30 a.m., April 15 at Lott’s Creek Park west of Livermore.

Lohrville: 1 p.m., April 15 at the city park. Sponsored by the Lohrville Lions Club.

Otho: 1 p.m., April 15 at the city park.

Rockwell City: 3 p.m., April 14 at Sunny Knoll Care Center.

Sac City: 2 p.m., April 14 at Park View Care Center; rain date is April 15; also the Sac City Fire Department will host its hunt at 1 p.m. April 15 at the Sac Elementary School playgrounds.

Stanhope: 10 a.m., April 15 at city park.

Stratford: Startford Stride Community Easter Egg Hunt will be at noon on April 15 at Stratford City Park, sixth grade and younger.

Webster City: Photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, lemonade and cookies, will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Fire Station. Easter egg hunt for children 1 to 4 years old is at 10 a.m. and for children 5 to 8 years old at 10:20 a.m. at West Twin Park; 10 lucky eggs will be hidden which will entitle the child to a special prize. Adults are urged to bring their cameras. The Easter event is free and open to everyone.

Whittemore: Easter Egg hunts begin at 10 a.m. on April 15 at Noah’s Park. The first hunt is for children 4 years old and younger, next hunt is 10:15 a.m. for children 5 to 8 years old, and the third hunt is at 10:30 a.m. for children 9 to 12. The Easter bunny will also be present for photos.
