The Fort Dodge Area Symphony will present a strings-only concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave. Led by Associate Conductor Tom Shadonix, selections will range from Mozart to Led Zeppelin and will feature solos by Melissa Gillette, Mary Powers, Ashley Augspurger and Shadonix. The Symphony’s Summer Strings ensemble was created to offer performances outside its regular concert series. About the upcoming concert, conductor and founder Shadonix said, “Having a concert just featuring strings will be an entertaining summer musical event.”
