Kendall Young Library to host Amish presentation Thursday
WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will hold a presentation titled “Our Neighbors, the Amish” from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the library meeting room. Don and Dianne Kramer of Dyersville will present the program. Come and learn about the beliefs and lifestyle of a community of people whose religious practices are often mystifying and whose way of life is much different than our own. Topics that will be covered include population growth, key beliefs, language, marriage, social gatherings, clothing and more. Amish refreshments will also be provided.
