Pan Fish Fishing Tournament is June 5

Local youth empowerment organization, It Gets Better Fort Dodge and Beyond announced it will be hosting the annual Pan Fish Fishing Tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The event will begin at 2p.m. on June 5 at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park.

Registration for the event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on the day of the event. Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. For beginners, there are free fishing guides available from Neet Generation Anglers Club. Bait will be free of charge, provided by Iowa Outdoor Store, and poles and tackle will also be available to participants.

A multitude of prizes will also be offered to participants, including trophies for adult, youth, and child divisions, largest fish award, smallest fish award, numerous raffle prizes from local vendors, and $1,000 worth of cash prizes in honor of local fishing pro, Jim Buckley.
