The first Twin Lakes Scout Classic Adult Pinewood Derby will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on April 23 at Shimkat Motors, 3126 Fifth Ave. S.

In a spirit of friendly competition, civic and business leaders will build their own cars then race them against one another for bragging rights and a shot at keeping a “traveling” trophy. Also, memners of the Boy Scouts will be showing off learned skills via video. Special guest speaker to discuss the impact of Scouting on the community. Adult beverages and appetizers available. Standard Boy Scouts of America car rules apply and will be given at same time as car blanks.

Sponsorships are available at a variety of levels, including Eagle Sponsor for $500, Life Sponsor for $350, Star Sponsor for $200, Scout Sponsor for $150 and Cub Sponsor for $75.
