On Saturday at 10 a.m., Fort Dodge Hy-Vee will host a book signing featuring the Rev. David Grindberg of Fort Dodge.

For the last 30 years, Grindberg has been a pastor, teacher, and working writer.

“Rapture of the Deep,” his first major work, is contemporary fiction and is published by IndianGrass Books. “Rapture of the Deep” is a story of ordinary people and what makes them tick. It’s about trials and heartaches, and the way those unseen matters silently shape the lives in which they exist. The book explores how people appear to be in control, but beneath that placid surface their lives are in complete free fall.

Born and raised in Sioux City, Grindberg holds degrees from Augustana College and Luther Seminary. Grindberg and wife Jill live in Fort Dodge, where he is senior pastor of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
