James Parsons

James D. Parsons, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 80th birthday on July 29.

His family includes wife Karen Parsons; Amy and Roger Porter, of Fort Dodge; Tom and Michelle Parsons, of Fort Dodge; Carol and Arden Svoboda, of Coralville; Pam and Tim Harms, of Owatonna, Minnesota; and Tricia and Irv Steenhoek, of Hutchinson, Minnesota. He has 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Parsons was born on July 29, 1939, in Fort Dodge. He graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1957 and attended junior college. He worked at Mitchell Dental Lab and retired from Hormel after 35 years.
