Marlys was married to Ronald Huebsch, of Fort Dodge. She has three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Marlys Willey was born on July 22, 1929 in Vincent. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School and Iowa Central Community College and spent her working career at the Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric.
