LaVern Plagge

LaVern Plagge, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 80th birthday on Saturday.

His family includes his wife Mary; Mike and Sarah Plagge, of Fort Dodge; Craig Plagge, of Fort Dodge; and Tim and Kris Plagge, of Cedar Falls. He has four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Plagge was born April 27, 1939, at Mapleton. He graduated from Mapleton High School in 1957. He worked as the parts manager at Gibbs Cook-Caterpillar, Jim’s Floor Covering and retired from Lowy Distributing as district sales manager.
