John and Millie Girdley, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Their family includes Matthew Girdley and Katie Ferris, of Cedar Rapids; and Naomi Girdley and Matthew Berger, of Fort Dodge. They have seven grandchildren. A son, Joshua Girdley, is deceased.

John Girdley and Millie Spencer were married Dec. 28, 1968, at First Baptist Church in Holliday, Texas.
