Elizabeth “Bettie” Gormally

Elizabeth “Bettie” Gormally, Fort Dodge, celebrated her 95th birthday Friday.

Her children are Carole and Ralph Delong, New Brighton, Minnesota; James Gormally, Fort Dodge; Thomas and Malayka Gormally, Seattle, Washington; Linda Gormally, Plymouth, Minnesota; John Gormally, Fairmont, Minnesota; Robert Gormally, Williston, North Dakota; Denis Gormally, Minneapolis, Minneapolis; William and Mary Jane Gormally and Janet and Jon Clark, all of Fort Dodge. She has 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her daughters Beth Gormally Hemann and Mary Alice Gormally are deceased.

Bettie Grannan was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Fort Dodge. She married James “Bud” Gormally on May 8, 1946, and they spent most of their married life in Fort Dodge. He passed away Jan. 10, 2001. She received her registered nursing degree from St Joseph Nursing College.
