St. Edmond scores 19 in road win

EAGLE GROVE — The St. Edmond softball team put on an offensive clinic here Tuesday night, besting Eagle Grove 19-3 in five innings.

Jocy Timmerman, Macey Mason, Jacque Oberg and Rylee Kinney all drove in three runs, and Audrey Kolacia, Erin Flattery and Timmerman each scored three times as the Gaels improved to 12-5 on the season.

“I’m really pleased with how the girls came out,” SEHS head coach Nick Clark said. “We were patient at the plate and drew a ton of walks. I think that was the big takeaway from this game was how patient we were at the plate and the fact that we only swung at a handful of bad pitches.”

Flattery, Timmerman, Mason, Kinney and Devyn Scott all had two hits, with both of Timmerman’s being doubles. Scott and Kacey Kruthoff drove in a run each.

Kruthoff also threw out a would-be basestealer.

Ella Vratny picked up the win, striking out seven and walking just two. She allowed only a pair of hits on the night.

St. Edmond puts its three-game win streak on the line Wednesday night, hosting Hampton-Dumont at Rogers Park at 7:30 p.m.
