DES MOINES – A trio of Manson Northwest Webster Cougars found their way to the medal stand on Saturday.

Second-ranked senior Enrique Maravilla (285) was fourth, classmate Koby Hanson (132) placed sixth, and sophomore Daltin Roest (113) took sixth.

“This is what I’ve worked for, and it felt great,” Hanson said. “Wish I would have finished harder, but I’m happy with the outcome. My hard work finally payed off.

“I’m super proud of Daltin and Ernique. Enrique came in and stood out as expected, and nobody predicted Daltin to even be at the state tournament. He came in and shocked the world.”

Maravilla (38-4), who lost in the semifinals, had both of his matches on Saturday go to the ultimate tie-breaker.
