Croft ties school record with 54

ESTHERVILLE — The Iowa Central men suffered a heartbreaking loss in triple-overtime here Wednesday, falling to Iowa Lakes, 125-117.

Tray Croft, who earlier this season set a new school career scoring record, tied the single-game mark with 54 points for the Tritons.

The sophomore was 16 of 35 from the field, hitting seven 3-pointers. Croft played 53 minutes, adding six rebounds and five assists.

Royshawn Webb added 23 points and 10 rebounds, with Kemryn Jenkins scoring 18 points. Jenkins played 51 minutes.

For the Lakers, Kyle Beisch scored 30 points in 51 minutes, adding six rebounds. Solomon Clayton had 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Iowa Central hosts Des Moines Area next Wednesday.
