Croft leads Triton men
Tray Croft and Thomas Akamarmoi combined for 47 points as the Iowa Central men defeated Central-Columbus here Friday night, 77-65.
The game was part of the Great Western Shootout held inside Hodges Fieldhouse.
Croft had 26 points, going 11-for-11 from the free-throw line. The sophomore also had nine rebounds and three assists. Akamarmoi had 21 points and three boards, as the two knocked down six 3-pointers.
Iowa Central (8-1 overall) has now won seven consecutive games and are 4-0 at home this year.
Kemryn Jenkins scored 13 points off the bench, and Royshawn Webb added eight points and eight rebounds.
Latrell Talley led the Raiders with 22 points.
Iowa Central takes on Northeast Saturday back here beginning at 6 p.m.
