FD boys earn first victory

Dodgers blank Des Moines North

DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge boys tennis squad swept through Des Moines North here on Tuesday, winning 11-0.

Jonny Bowser, Ryan Dolan and Mitchell Emery all won in straight sets for the Dodgers (1-3 overall). Justin Vaughan also prevailed, while the doubles teams of Bowser and Dolan and Vaughan and Hatton were victorious as well.

”It was great to get into the win column and give us a little momentum moving forward,” FDSH head coach Jared Feddersen said. ”Getting a win over a Des Moines metro school should hopefully give us the confidence we need moving into a very busy part of our schedule.”
