The St. Edmond girls golf team fell short against Southeast Valley here Tuesday at Lakeside.
The Gaels shot a 253, while the Jaguars recorded a 235.
Riley Mayer settled for a runner-up effort for SEHS, shooting a 50. Grace Viaene (61), Alli Condon (63) and Jaci Taylor (79) were the other Gael counters.
Tiffany Blunk (49) claimed medalist honors for Southeast Valley. Sage Michalski (58), Marydith Barkley (61) and Anna Hanson (67) were next in line for the Jaguars.
“I’m really proud of how the ladies played (Tuesday) and how they all managed to keep a positive attitude,” said St. Edmond head coach Kelsey Faiferlick. “Riley was able to hit the ball consistently throughout the round and scored very well for her first meet. She also had a par on hole No. 1.”
Next action for the Gaels is Friday at Iowa Falls-Alden.
