Gael girls win two events
CLARION – The St. Edmond girls track team competed here Tuesday night.
Madi Reel (100, 14.02) and Abby Landwehr (1500, 5:23.79) were each champions for the Gaels. Landwehr set a new personal record in the 1500.
“I was really proud of Madi and Abby,” said SEHS head coach Gerry Miller. “It was Madi’s first win in the 100, which is a big boost of confidence for her. Abby breaking her personal record in the 1500 was also a great sign. The weather conditions we’ve faced this year haven’t always been great. We just have to keep getting better.”
Landwehr (3000, 11:55.00), Megan Flattery (400, 1:04.02), Joeli Koenig (100 hurdles, 18.60), Erin Flattery (200, 28.08), the distance medley (Macey Mason, Kate Ahlers, Devyn Scott and Landwehr, 2:44.00) and the sprint medley (Koenig, Mason, Reel and Megan Flattery, 2:04.02) all claimed runner-up efforts for St. Edmond.
Next action for the Gaels is Thursday at Ogden.
