Dodgers topped on road

ANKENY – The Fort Dodge boys tennis team suffered a 9-2 setback to Ankeny on Tuesday.

Jonny Bowser posted the lone singles victory for the Dodgers (0-2 overall).

Bowser and Justin Vaughan also claimed a doubles triumph for FDSH.

“We came out and competed much harder (Tuesday) than we did last week,” said Fort Dodge head coach Jared Feddersen. “Much of this can be attributed to our guys getting more experience under their belts and that should help us as we move into the thick of our schedule coming up. Our doubles play continues to be a work in progress.”

Mitch Emery, Chris Hatton and Tristan Earnest all recorded singles wins for the Dodgers, while Emery and Adam Moore and Hatton and Earnest each prevailed in doubles.
