Anne Hathaway's intense performance as a recovering addict in Rachel Getting Married has already gotten her Best Actress awards from Chicago filmcritics and the National Board of Review, not to mention Golden Globe, SAG and Independent Spiritnominations. An Oscar nod may be right around the corner. Meanwhile, you can catch another side of Hathaway as she displays Lucille Ball-styleslapstick in the wacky comedy Bride Wars. She and Kate Hudson play best buds who become rivals when the weddings they'veplanned since childhood are scheduled on the same day. Q: Did you dream about what your wedding would be like when you were a kid? A: I'm not really that kind of girl. Ask Marilyn
Mark Selleck (city unknown) writes:Marilyn: Some pastry fillings have large amounts of poppy seeds and could possibly trigger a positive drug test result. (December 14, 2008) The one I'm most familiar with is a Jewish pastry called hamantaschen, mainly available during the holiday of Purim. One traditional filling consists of ground poppy seeds, honey, raisins, and nuts. As I make them, one large hamantaschen may contain as much as 1/4 cup of poppy seeds, probably more than what you'd find on all of the bagels Grandma's yoga class might eat in a year.More "Ask Marilyn"

Eat My Words
If you know anything about me, you know that I've never met a food I didn't like. But not everyone's as adventurous.Based on an informal survey of hungry friends, here are four of the all-time top "won't -touch-it, won't-eat-it foods" with tips on how to make them more palatable. Pan fry with lots of sliced onions and/or mushrooms and/or raisins. Slice the liver into thin strips, serve covered with the veggies and fruit. Yum!2 Peas. (the canned variety). Drain the peas. Saut sliced onions in olive oil in a saucepan. Just before the onions begin to crisp, toss the peas into the saucepan. If you enjoy the peas as much as I know you will, next time toss in some sliced mushrooms, too.3 Cottage cheese. Depending on the variety you buy, this calcium-rich, quick-and-easy protein can be too bland, too tart, too watery, and too unappeali

Pet Chat
Most veterinarians recommend taking your pet to the vet at least once a year for a wellness exam--whether they live inside or not. If you have senior pets, you should bring them in twice a year. At the exam, you should ask questions about diet, exercise, parasite control and vaccinations. Keep in mind that pets age about three years for every one year, so the goal is to practice preventative medicine, or at least catch diseases early. The wellness exam is important because early detection improves treatment success and can help add years to your pet's life.More "Pet Chat"
