Ask Marilyn: Why Isn't Marilyn a Scientist?

Marilyn: If you were so smart, why didn't you enter a scientific field?

Marilyn responds:

I've never thought that most smart people belong in science. What a waste that would be! What about politics? Or writing? Or composing? The list is endless. As for me, I couldn't live the lifestyle that's required—the daily, non-stop and excruciating attention to detail after detail. I'm grateful to those who can.
