Northern Iowa (7-5 in 2013) vs. Iowa (8-5 in 2013)
Series Record: Iowa leads 15-1
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Northern Iowa has played the Hawkeyes close in each the last two meetings between the programs, and a win would be a huge boost to the FCS school's reputation. A decisive win would help Iowa's confidence as it navigates a schedule that gets progressively tougher.
Northern Iowa's offensive line vs. Iowa's front four: The Hawkeyes will have the toughest defensive line that Northern Iowa faces all season. If the Panthers want to spring the upset, they'll need to spring some holes for star back David Johnson.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Iowa: QB Jake Rudock: He had a promising first season as the starter in 2013. But the Hawkeyes will need more out of the junior if they're going to fulfill high expectations. Rudock had 18 TD passes against 13 picks in 2013.
Northern Iowa: Johnson. He might be the most talented back on the field — and just ask Iowa State if he's a Power 5-type player. Johnson torched the Cyclones for 199 yards and four TDs a year ago in the opener.
