Fort Dodge firefighters will collect donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association over the Labor Day weekend during the annual Fill the Boot campaign.
The money raised during the campaign will help people affected by more than 40 neuromuscular diseases.
The firefighters will be collecting donations from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Hy-Vee, 115 S. 29th St.
They will also be accepting donations all day Saturday and Sunday at Hy-Vee. They may also collect donations there on Monday.
Last year, Fort Dodge firefighters collected $3,500 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Fill the Boot Campaign, now in its 60th year, is a joint effort of the association and the International Association of Firefighters. Fort Dodge firefighters are members of International Association of Firefighters Local 622.
