To the editor:
The eighth annual Angel Ride to Save the Ta-Tas had a great turn out on July 12 - 367 riders went on the ride, plus others showed up to participated in the fun activities at Amigos afterwards.
We would like to thank Mark and Crissann Campbell and the staff at Amigos for help hosting the Angel Ride this year. They let us set up at bike nights, helped us plan out the event and served breakfast the morning of the ride and the delicious pork loin meal afterwards.
A special thanks to the bars that hosted our stops through the day, Riverside Tap, Lehigh; 209 Main, Paton; Wright Place, Lake City; Lynch's, Rockwell City; and Junkyard Bar, Barnum. They provided great service to many people that stopped there.
Thanks to Double M Signs for creating our design for our shirts this year and to Party Productions for all their support over the years by carrying our shirts for us all year long.
A very big thank you to all the businesses and the communities that made donations to this event. Without your generosity we couldn't make this event happen. Thanks to all that came to the auction and bid on items to help us raise funds for the cause. It takes many people to make an event like this work out.
We also want to thank auctioneer Curt Carlson and DJ Rusty McNeal for helping out the day of the ride. Thanks to Judi Johnson and the staff at 3 Eagles Communications for helping promote the ride every chance they could.
Thanks to our Special Angels for helping us out on getting donations and working the day of event. We all know it isn't easy with all of our busy lives, job, family and all the other activities but without your help this event wouldn't be what it is today.
We will be turning over the money that was raised in October as that is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
"Never get tired of doing little things for others, never underestimate the difference you can make in the lives of others, sometimes those little things are what keeps us all going."
Thank you again to the public, and all those that participated in this event and remember "Early detection saves lives" Please join us on Facebook - Angel Ride to Save the Ta-Tas.
